object conservation: simple support

Walking around the Mather's Museum storage basement I came across this little paper mache dragon resting dangerously on a little plastic stand.  Many of its toes had been damaged and both wrists had broken off (only one had been repaired).  Its wing was also pushed in to create a dent in its back.  At the moment, the most I could do was make a more secure stand for it out of foam, batting, and muslin.  It now has much better balance and takes pressure off of the legs and tail.
